The Muslim community in Nakaseke district has been encouraged to maintain the good deeds they exhibited during the holy month of Ramathan.
The call was made by the Kyambogo Masjid’s Sheik Muhamud Ssebuliba during the Eid El Fitri celebrations on Sunday.
“The community wants to see your good acts after the holy month of Ramadhan; I take this opportunity to urge you to remain portraying the goods deeds among people as Allah recommends through the holy Koran,” Sheik Ssebulime told the congregation.
While delivering his sermon Ssebuliba rallied the Muslims against sabotaging development projects in their area by encouraging peaceful settlement of disagreements in line with the Koran teachings.
“We should embrace development and work for unity; we should not go back to the bad behavior because the Ramadhan month has ended,” Sheik Ssebuliba said.
The Eid celebrations were boosted with donations of food items including rice and beef from SPA Financial Services, a company that is helping with projects in the area like road construction.
Nakaseke LCIII Chairman Mr John Mugerwa thanked SPA Finance Services for donating the rice and beef to Muslims at different Masjids in Nakaseke Subcounty.
