President Museveni has advised youth not to wait for public service jobs because they are few.

He divulged that the government will build more vocational schools to help the youth acquire technical skills and create more employment opportunities.

Mr. Museveni, who was speaking at a campaign rally held at Anyo Catholic Mission in Zeu Sub County, Zombo district noted that while many youth have graduated from university, they lack the practical skills needed at the job.

“The government is going to build one technical school per district and later on build one for each constituency. Government is ready to help. That is why we are putting money in operation wealth creation, the youth fund, the women fund and microfinance,” he said.

On education, Mr. Museveni promised that government would increase funding to education so that children do not miss school.

“I will continue to support the children. If parents cannot afford, the government will put more money instead of chasing children from school,” he said.

The president added that government is going to provide exercise books, mathematical sets and sanitary pads for the girl child so that parents can concentrate on buying uniforms and feeding the children.

Hon. Grace Kwiocwiny Freedom, Woman MP Zombo district promised President Museveni that the residents of Zeu will support him in the forthcoming elections.
