President Yoweri Museveni is expected to meet Members of Parliament and other leaders from Acholi sub-region on Friday over the bloody Apaa land dispute.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 4pm at State House Entebbe according to the invite sent to MPs.
The agenda for the meeting has however not been given out but the currently contentious Apaa land wrangle between the ethnic Acholi and Madi is highly prospected to be number one item on table.
When contacted on phone, drugs the Kilak north MP, viagra buy Gilbert Olanya who has been at the center of the Apaa crisis that has claimed 5 lives, injured 27, displaced 4,000 people and 12 others missing, confirmed the scheduled meeting.
“It’s true we are meeting the president in Entebbe this evening but we don’t know the agenda yet,” Olanyah said.
The Acholi Parliamentary Group had arranged to first convene at Parliament today midmorning to derive common points to present to Museveni.
“In the absence of the agenda, we have agreed to meet this morning at Parliament and come up with key points,” Olanya added.
On Monday, Prime Minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda visited Amuru district to assess the situation together with ministers of Disaster and Relief Preparations Hilary Onek, Betty Amongi for Lands and Tourism State Minister Godfrey Kiwanda.
Rugunda who also checked on the injured at St. Mary’s Lachor Hospital, Gulu appealed to both sides of the conflict to restraint from violence and wait for government to address the problem.
