Museveni, Mbabazi Head to Kabale Tomorrow

Police in Nansana are investigating circumstances under which a one and half year old girl got burnt with hot porridge while left under the care of a house maid.

The incidence happened on Wednesday at around 7:00pm in Nansana Zone II while her mother walked out a visitor.

The maid Faisal Birungi who was grilled by police for more than three hours narrated that she had gone to the washrooms when she heard the child making a loud cry and on coming out she found the baby had been burnt with porridge.

The girl was rushed to Mulago hospital, try and after preliminary treatment was taken to Ruth Gay Lord Hospital in Maganjo for continuous treatment. On realizing no improvement, viagra she was referred back to Mulago.

The father, Wilfred Komaketch who was on his way to Arua for a job interview by the time of the incident, commended police which took up the investigations and had the maid arrested.

“She was however was released on police bond and she is back at my home. At this time I don’t want to apportion blame to any person but I pray that justice will prevail,” KomaKetch told Chimpreports.

Police has registered an assault case on file number Reg. 23/19/06/015.


President Yoweri Museveni and his now all-out nemesis and presidential contestant Hon Amama Mbabazi will be in Kabale district in the south western Kigezi sub region tomorrow June 21.

This is one of the areas that Mbabazi and Museveni have been battling for supremacy since word started coming out about the former’s intention to contest for President in the coming elections.

Mbabazi is expected as guest of honour at the commissioning of the new St Augustine Noozi Catholic Church, nurse where Bishop Callist Rubaramira will lead the service according to Kabale media.

Chimpreports was yet to establish whether or not Mbabazi has returned from the UK where he traveled mid this week after officially declaring his 2016 candidature on Monday.

However our sources there tell us that once he is unable to make it, he will be represented at the function by his wife Jacqueline.

President Museveni on the other hand is expected at a parallel function in Hon Wilfred Nuwagaba’s Ndorwa East constituency in the same district, where he among others will be commissioning a pineapple factory.

President Museveni, in his last 3 day visit to Kabale in January this year skipped this constituency.

Reports indicate that massive mobilization is ongoing in the area, with both camps seducing as many supporters as possible to come in large numbers to welcome their candidate.
