“I want to appreciate the police for using scarce resources and be able to build the capacity that you saw here; several times some groups have been trying to cause chaos in the country but they have been defeated using the soft methods of the police,” Museveni told the gathering in Kololo.

Museveni said that the police have been able to take the planners of chaos in the country who expected that government would use tough methods to contain them by employing friendly means which include the use of tear gas and canes.

This comes at a time after Police gently controlled the planned procession of the home coming of the opposition strong man in the country, Dr. Kizza Besigye.

Without allowing any chaos, Police whisked the opposition figure to his home in Kasangati without the knowledge of his supporters who were waiting for him by the road side.
