Reformed rebel NRM MP Barnabas Tinkasiimire has endorsed president Museveni to rule for life as long as he fulfils his pledges.
Tinkasiimire made the remarks on Wednesday as President Museveni held a series of rallies in Kagadi to rally support for NRM flag-bearers, viagra http://cooperativenet.com/wp-content/plugins/simple-lightbox/includes/class.options.php Jasephene Mbabazi (Woman MP) and Stephen Byaruhanga (LC V Chairman).
“Most of the pledges president Museveni made in our constituency have been fulfilled. He should rule for life, story http://claude-nicaud.com/new/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php ” said Tinkasiimire as a large crowd of supporters cheered him.
Tinkasiimire cited the construction of tarmac roads, salve rural electrification, water gravity schemes among other infrastructural developments as a fulfillment of Museveni’s pledges which he said would transform lives in Kagadi.
Government recently embarked on the construction of Mubende-Kakumiro-Kagadi road.
Speaking to the gathering, Tinkasiimire said he was assured “even some of the remaining pledges will be fulfilled.”
The MP’s statements are a big departure from his militant stance on a change in the presidency.
Tinkasiimire has previously criticized President Museveni for overstaying in power and not doing enough to get the people of Bunyoro out of poverty.
The comments come at time of covert mobilisation to scrap the 75-year-age limit from the Constitution to allow President Museveni stay in power after the expiry of his term in 2021.
President Museveni has since maintained his commitment to retire after clocking 75 years.
