Rwenzururu King Wesley Mumbere was wearing fetishes when he was arrested at his Palace in Kasese on November 27, more about http://dejanmilutinovic.com/wp-content/plugins/unyson/framework/extensions/backups/helpers.php it has emerged.
“We didn’t want to embarrass him after being arrested. We asked him to wear his shirt, what is ed http://ccresourcecenter.org/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/capabilities.php ” said a security officer who preferred anonymity as he is not authorized to speak to the media.
“It was not a royal spectacle,” the source added.
Kings usually wear traditional attire at public functions. These include hides and skins of wild animals and feathers of precious birds.
However, revelations that Mumbere wore fetishes could leave believers in modern religions upset. It could as well confirm concerns that Mumbere actually believed in witchcraft.
According to Kasese Mayor Godfrey Kabyanga, “Mumbere’s problem was witchcraft. Witch-doctors from Eastern Congo routinely visited his palace to tell him lies and eat his money,” he noted in an interview with ChimpReports last week.
Former Defence Minister Crispus Kiyonga also said witchcraft is at the heart of Rwenzururu’s problems.
Interestingly, conservative traditionalists will see Mumbere as a King who cherished and promoted some of Africa’s old traditions.
