Muhwezi Elected Kabale University Guild Boss

John Bosco Muhwezi  John Bosco Muhwezi is the new Kabale University Guild President

John Bosco Muhwezi, order a second year student of Bachelor of Land use Management has been declared winner of Kabale University’s hotly contested guild polls, seek beating two others.

Muhwezi was announced by the University guild returning officer Johnbosco Tushabe at a 5:45pm at the University Hall, ambulance having polled 546 votes, followed by Edison Mirembe who managed 380 votes and Nicholas Byonanebye Kamuntu who trailed with 148.

Muhwezi while speaking to our reporter, vowed to work with all those that he stood with for the development of the university which is currently transitioning to become a government university.

He also promised to work towards the introduction of multiparty politics at the university as is the case with other universities.

Muhwezi replaces John Ahisfakite, the outgoing guild president and becomes the first guild president after the university was taken over by government in July 2015 to become a public university.
