Mugume Transferred In Permanent Secretaries Reshuffle

Lumumba said however, that Go Forward has no structures, noting that if it did, people would not be running away from it.

“If they had structures, the first person that would have utilized them would be[Kitgum Woman MP] my sister Hon Beatrice Anywar,” she argued.

Anywar, who initially threw her support behind Mbabazi, recently returned imploring to be pardoned by her party the FDC, after it decided to take away its flag for the newly created Kitgum Municipality MP seat and hand it to her opponent Denis Oneka.

“Anywar decided to go and nominate Hon Amama Mbabazi and Dr Besigye went for her opponent in Kitgum. And when that happened, the whole FDC structure is now behind her opponent. So Anywar looks around and she has no structure to lean on for her bid for the municipality parliamentary seat,” stressed Ms Lumumba on the Capital Gang.

“Go forward has no structures at all. They are in fact hurting the opposition; blackmailing members of the opposition parties to join them, which is unfortunate. ”

Speaking on the same show, State Minister for Health Hon Chris Baryomunsi, who has recently been nominated to defend his Kinkiizi East MP seat on the NRM ticket, said that Amama Mbabazi’s camp is not only foundationless, but also broke.

“It is not true that the NRM can waste time in trying to dismantle Go Forward’s structures which are not there,” he said.

“I say this because the engine of Go Forward is from Kanungu where I come from.”

Baryomunsi, observed that most of Mbabazi’s perceived initial support was because people imagined that his camp had a lot of money.

“I think many people thought that that Go Forward and their loose coalition had a lot of money. They have now realized that the taps are dry.”

He has now been posted as PS at the blossoming Ministry of Tourism, symptoms Wildlife and Antiquities.

The news came in as Mugume accompanied President Museveni and his boss Sam Kutesa to the China African Summit in South Africa.

Highly placed State House sources said Museveni zeroed on Mugume to take the mantle of transforming the tourism sector in the country due to his vast connections in the international community.

Despite being a career diplomat, Mugume is known to be quite passionate about tourism.

Mugume is being replaced with Patrick Mugoya from the the Tourism Ministry.

Education Ministry PS Dr Rose Nassali who has been fighting with Minister Jessica Alupo is headed to the less influential Judicial Service Commission.
