Police have picked up more students to help with the investigations into the strike that ended in the burning of two dormitory rooms at Standard High School in Ntungamo.
Rwizi regional police spokesperson Samson Kasasira says while the school has resumed business as usual, police continued to probe the matter.
He said so far the number of students arrested to help with investigations has risen to 48.
These he says are detained at Ntungamo CPS with exhibits that include iron bars and pangs.
Kasasira said charges have already been opened up on several of the suspects in detention.
The fire which was started by students who were protesting the school administration policies, left over a dozen students injured and several and some in critical condition.
