The Ministry of Health with support from the Kingdom of Spain has Thursday signed an agreement to refurbish two hospitals in Uganda.
Kawolo and Busolwe Hospitals have been selected to benefit from the plan.

“This is a key milestone in the current collaboration between the Government of Uganda and the Kingdom of Spain and we will make sure we see value for money through the constructions of the hospitals in subject, this web ” said the PS.
In her remarks at the Ministry of Heath headquarters Atwine added that the two hospitals where chosen due to their location and the population they serve.
“These two hospitals don’t have good infrastructure at the moment and yet they serve very many people from near and far.
Rocio Kessler, the chief economic and commercial counselor from the Embassy of Spain said the objective of the project is to contribute towards universal health coverage.
The project also includes provision of medical equipment and Hospital furniture, strengthening the referral system by providing ambulances, general transport and ICT in the two heath facilities, improvement of operations and maintenance of health infrastructure and renovation/ construction of buildings.
