Minister Rwamirama’s Stolen Cows Found With Brother

Police in Isingiro have recovered 17 cows out of 20 that were stolen from Minister of State for Veteran Affairs Bright Rwamirama’s farm.

The cows were reportedly stolen yesterday from the minister’s farm in in Kamushoko village, try Kabingo Sub County in Isingiro district.

The area regional police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi says now that the animals were tracked from where they were last seen and 17 of them were recovered at a traffic check point at Buwama on the Mpigi-Masaka road.

Police says Minister Rwamirama’s brother Fred Murisa is believed to have connived with other two people to steal the cows from the farm.

“We are aware that Fred Muriisa, capsule a brother to the minister was a mastermind in processing all the documents to permit the movement of the stolen cows from the farm,” Ssenkumbi noted.

The suspects are Fred Murisa, Joram Mwesigye and Ismail Katungi all residents of Isingiro district and are all detained at Isingiro central police station.

Ssenkumbi says however that 3 cows are still missing while the recovered 17 were taken back to the farm.
