Minister Cheptoris Decries Rampant Environmental Degradation in Masaka

Hon. Sam Cheptoris, this http://demamore.com/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/bbpress/form-anonymous.php the minister for Water and Environment has raised concerns over the rampant environmental degradation in greater Masaka area lately.

The minister was speaking at Masaka District stake holders’ breakfast meeting held at Zebra Hotel in Masaka on Monday August 8th.

“It is very sad that the catchment has been polluted. Let’s stop taking issues of the environment for granted, information pills ” he advised adding that “we shall pay a very high price if we continue taking issues of water and Environment for granted.”

The meeting was attended by a number of stakeholders including Masaka Muicipality Mayor, Godfrey Kayemba, Director Water resources management, Ms Florence Adong, Eng Amayo Johnson, Lukaya Town clerk, Aisha, Asst Town Clerk Masaka, Kiwanda Edward, the CAO Masaka District, Staff from NWSC head office, NWSC Masaka Area team, LC3 Chairperson Bukakata among many others.
