Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” has summoned a squad of 24 players in preparation for the team’s regional tour due next month.
After a great expedition in the Kitara region (For Portal) at the start of this Month, Cranes will now embark on another country tour in the Western Region.
There have not been many changes from the side that played in Fort Portal with majority returning.
Onduparaka’s lanky defender Rashid Toha returns to the team, while Simon Sserunkuma and Vitalis Tabu also make the grade.
Synergy’s duo of Nicholas Kasozi and skipper Solomon Okwalinga also continue to earn calls after an impressive season in the Fufa Big League.
The game slated for 8th July will be played in Kabaale District, the second time Uganda Cranes will be playing in the Western region.
The first visit was way back in 2014 at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara and the Cranes won 1-0 courtesy of Farouk Miya. This was the first ever regional tour.
However, KCCA FC players have been excused from the team due to continental engagements where they still have to play FUS Rabat and Club Africain.
Micho has also gone on to name four foreign based players including Jjuko Murushid,Dennis Guma, Hassan Wasswa and Aucho Khalid.
