Uganda cranes head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has named the final squad to take on South Sudan in the first leg of the 2018 Championship of African Nations (CHAN).

Micho named the 18 man squad on Thursday evening in the final training session as the team prepares to fly to South Sudan capital, Juba.

There are no surprises in the team that Micho has settled for apart from the players that have left camp to go for trials.

Onduparaka’s duo of Mohammad Shabam and Rashid Toha who are poised for trials at Super Sport United in South Africa have been left out.

SC Villa winger who has also flown to Serbia to complete a move is also not part of the team.

The squad is comprised of 2 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and 4strikers.

Uganda takes on South Sudan in the first leg this Friday at Juba stadium and a week later, a return leg in Kampala at Star Times Stadium.

The winner on aggregate will take on either Rwanda or Tanzania in the bid to determine the team that will represent East Africa at next year’s CHAN tournament in Kenya.

The players dropped include Kirinya Jinja SS goalkeeper, Tom Ikara, Nelson Ssenkatuka, Nicholas Kasozi and Simon Sserunkuuma.
