MEPA Mass Attracts Large Crowds at Namugongo

Thousands of Christians from the Mbarara Catholic province attended their annual mass and pilgrimage to Namugongo Uganda Martyrs Shrines on Sunday November 6.
The mass organised under their association Mbarara Eclessiastical Province Kampala Residents Association (MEPA) was celebrated by Bishop Lambert Bainomugisha with five other bishops – Callist Rubaramira (Kabale), advice http://cccnt.com.au/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/tribe/backcompat.php Aquirinus Kibira ( Kasese); Egidio Nkaijanabwo (Bishop Emeritus -Kasese); Robert Muhirwa (Fort Portal) and Vincent Kirabo (Hoima).
MEPA is made up of the 5 dioceses in the province with the seat at Mbarara.
The Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (AMDA) animated this years mass.
Bishop Lambert called on the faithful to live to live to true Christian values of honesty and hard work and pray for their Bishops.
Chief guest Finance Minister warned Christians against corruption and get rich quick schemes.
He said people should stop crying that there is no money but rather work hard and look for the money.
MEPA Chairman Dr. Peter Ngategize thanked the faithful for turning up in bog numbers and said the association supports AMDA effort to collect food supllues for those starving in Isingiro.
