Men’s Rugby 7s Arrive in Kenya for 2015 Safari Sevens

Jinja based top tier side Sadolin Paints Fc will be boosted by the timely arrival of versatile midfielder Edward Muwenda.

The new development was confirmed by assistant coach Abdu Msafiri expressing satisfaction with the level of experience and ability the 21-year old possess.

The lanky defensive midfielder has been contracted to Thailand outfit Rajvithi fc where he played until last season before returning back for short holidays.

However his visa was blocked and failed to return on time therefore settling for a short term deal of three months with Sadolin Paints.

“My visa was blocked when i tried to return back to Thailand but i hope to be able to go back early next year, information pills ” Muwenda exclusively confined to ChimpSports.

“For now I have settled in. I wasn’t able to turn out in previous matches due to paper work but now its being settled and will be present on Saturday (against URA).”

Muwenda has previously turned out for army side Simba Fc before heading to Bankok BBCU FC. He has also played in Aman Jordan before returning to Rajvithi Fc for a second stint
The Uganda national men’s rugby Sevens team has safely landed in Nairobi ahead of the coveted 20th edition of the Kenya Safari sevens tournament set for Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th to be held at the Kasarani stadium.

Twelve players are part of the sixteen-man contingent that will be led by  Cape Town based experienced coach, ask Bronson Weir while Michael Wokorach assumes the skipper’s role.

youngsters, erectile Paul Epollu and Ivan Magomu are expected to make a senior debut in Nairobi as the team prepares for Olympic qualifiers next month.
