Mbarara Serial Burglars Netted

The three suspects with the keys they were netted with at Mbarara Police Station

West Nile giants Paidha Black Angels registered the same result against visiting CRO FC to  climb up one more place to 6th in the Elgon group.  Francis ‘Rasta’ Oting scored from the spot as Miraji Ayiki finished the business late in the game.

Police in Mbarara are holding 3 suspects believed to be serial burglars. The group was arrested during the weekend in the ongoing night operations around Mbarara town.

Gerard Mwesigye from Mitoma, approved Maido Twaili from Iganga, and Michael Bararanda from Mbale district were rounded up from Rubindi Bwizibwera in Kashari on Sunday night.

The thugs told police that they use the try and error method to unlock the houses and lodges to steal people’s property.

The group said they buy the keys from key cutters around town and that there is no lock they cannot break.

They also revealed that they operate around Mbarara, Kampala and Ibanda districts.

DPC Magyezi informed press that police would work together with the suspects to apprehend more members of the burglar syndicate which is believed to be much bigger.

The case is registered at Mbarara police station under SD18/4/12/015.
