Mbarara municipal builders have put their tools down demanding for their three weeks pay.
The angry workers have been working on the reconstruction of the recently on demolished Mbarara Central Market.
The workers were entitled to Shs. 20, what is ed http://deltadiner.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/emails/class-wc-email-customer-refunded-order.php 000shs for every day’s work but they had reportedly gone up to three weeks without a penny.
These over the weekend demanded to be paid their money which they discovered had been handed over to the market chairman Wilson Mubangizi.
Mubangizi reportedly tried to calm the builders but they only incensed them, remedy closing the entire marked down and blocking traders from accessing it.
The Mbarara municipal town clerk, Johnson Barintuma Munono was also unhappy with the market chairperson and question why he was holding onto the workers’ pay.
He promised to resolve the matter so that works can carry on.
