The Kashari South Member of Parliament Nathan Itungo has joined the Police Crime Preventers movement to fight animal theft in the constituency.
MP Itungo joined the Bubaare sub county crime preventers’ group yesterday while launching their community based organization (CBO).

MP paid Shs. 1 million subscription to join the crime preventers group.
The chairman of the group Emmanuel Mwijukye said they now have 70 members and have managed to raise Shs. 16 million out of the 50million they need to start their own SACCO, http://crmsoftwareblog.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/stats.php to support members.

The group chairman appealed to President Yoweri Museveni to put up a national training program for crime preventers to help them perform better.
At the event, the RDC Mbarara Capt. Martha Asiimwe said the crime preventers’ group had become a model in Kashari constituency Mbarara district unlike crime preventers in other areas who are condemned of becoming beggars and crime promoters.
The RDC urged members to stay away from use of fire arms and wearing police uniform, because they are not fully trained officers eligible to hold arms during operations.
