Workers of the Chinese Railway Seventh Group which is constructing the Mbarara Bypass yesterday survived being lynched after one of their heavy trucks knocked two people and killed one instantly at Kyarwabuganda, there http://chat.novaintermed.ro/wp-includes/widgets.php Kakika Division in Mbarara Municipality.
The accident happened on Tuesday morning when truck knocked a bodaboda rider killing the passenger only identified as Batebenkaine on spot, discount http://cigarworld.com.au/old/cigars/includes/smarty/libs/plugins/function.config_load.php in Kyarwabuganda along the bypass.
Incensed residents organized and started hunting down for the truck. These were also angry that the company which is handling the road had refused to widen the narrow road, http://demo.des.net.id/hotel/wp-includes/pluggable.php despite numerous complaints from the locals.
The angry residents after failing to get any of the driver decided to block the road with logs and stones.
Mbarara Police field force unit intervened to disperse the crowd and open the road for use.
The body of the deceased was taken to Mbarara referral hospital while the boda rider was admitted with grave injuries.
One Owen Abaho, a driver on the same route blamed the Chinese contractors of over speeding without considering other road users.
“This road is narrow but the Chinese drivers do drive on it carelessly yet it’s used by very many people” he said
The locals told us that so far 10 people have perished in accidents on the same road in a period of 4 months.
Police refused to comment on the incident. We were also unable to get a comment from the Chinese Railway Seventh Group.
