Mbarara: 3 Netted for Robbing Kenyan National

Police in Mbarara has in detention three men suspected to have robbed a Kenyan national in Mbarara town.

The thieves reportedly beat up Abdul Tembo, information pills a 51year old Kenyan truck driver and stole his 350, pill 000 Kshs, the equivalent of 11million Ug Shs.

The arrested are Fred Musinguzi, Moses Mayinja and Denis Kakuba , all residents of Koranorya, Kakiika Mbarara Municipality.

Police says the 3 broke into Sabiiti Lodges in Koranorya and robbed Abdul’s money from his room he had rented to spend the night.

Abdul told police that the 3 kicked in as he was going for a shower and knocked him out before escaping with his bag of money.

He made an alarm and people rushed and arrested the attackers and handed them to police.

According to the Rwizi region spokesperson Vicent Ssekate, the trio has been involved in a number of other robberies in the area.

Vicent said the case is registered at Mbarara police station under CRR 066/2016.
