Bodaboda cyclists in Mbarara are grieving the death of their colleagues in two separate accidents.

Bikandeam was knocked by a speeding Toyota corona no UAF 993E on Kakoba road near Hit Bar, which dragged for a distance of about 50 meters, dying from the grave injuries.
The driver abandoned the vehicle and it was impounded and taken to Mbarara police station while the body was taken to Mbarara referral hospital for postmortem.
Commenting on the incidents, the Rwizi region spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi told Chimpreports that bodaboda operators in Mbarara are prone to accidents because of reckless driving.
“Actually the RTO has been complaining about the way bodabodas recklessly ride in Mbarara; efforts have been on with local leaders to train these bodabodas and force them to have permits allowing them to drive on the road” he said
