Lawyers representing former Prime Minister and presidential hopeful Amama Mbabazi have written to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), pills http://chaosoffroad.com/wp-includes/pluggable-deprecated.php Mike Chibita seeking clarification on charges reportedly slapped against their client.

Lawyer Fred Muwema told journalists in Kampala on Monday that they had been tipped of a plot to have Mbabazi arrested any time from today to answer several offences.

“We have got intelligence information which we have verified as true that our candidate is to be arrested between now and the nomination day and charged with a series of charges, what is ed http://comeandcheck.it/wp-includes/rss-functions.php ” said Muwema during Mbabazi’s pre-nomination press conference.

“We have been told that among the charges include murder, ampoule money laundering and spying for a foreign country.”

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga was not readily available for comment.

Government recently dismissed reports that Mbabazi was being investigated for any criminal offences.

However, it quickly added that should information implicating Mbabazi be brought to the attention of law enforcement bodies, he would not be spared.

Muwema said they had confirmed the existence of the charges but later contradicted himself by claiming that they need to be sure that indeed their client faces charges for the alleged criminal offences.

Muwema said the alleged charges have been cooked to implicate and intimidate their client.

“Why do the charges come up at this time and not before? If it’s ‘true the charges are genuine,’ we wish to ask the office of the DPP to be open and transparent as they carry out the investigations. In this we want our candidate involved in the process,”’ added the visibly uncertain Muwema.

It is most likely that Mbabazi’s camp could be aimed at raising its supporters’ mood ahead of the nomination exercise.

Muwema noted that the said murder charge stems from way back in 2009 and questioned why it had not been worked upon then but brought up now.

“We know all these charges have been brought up at this time to have our candidate plus supporters intimidated as the nomination day draws near but we shall not chicken out.”

Mbabazi is expected to be nominated for presidency at Mandela National Stadium on November 3.

Murder incident

In May 2009, an unnamed man was shot in the head and killed by Mbabazi’s military guards as he tried to scale the perimeter wall around his posh home in Kololo.

The circumstances under which the man died have since remained unclear.
