Matia has been clubless since parting ways with Tanzania side Stand United last year after only a season in charge. He has also handled KCCA Fc, Express and Entebbe FC.

According to our source inside the caterpillars, the club management was looking for another option or a caretaker coach to handle the team during that period and one of the names tabled is Stephen Bogere, who recently won Masaza cup with Buddu.

Ayiekoh snub.
Earlier on Fufa bounced coach Leo Adraa’s papers saying they didn’t meet the Caf A or B standard. The caterpillars moved in for experienced coach Charles Ayiekoh but they could not meet his terms.

“They (Onduparaka) approached me and I gave them my terms and conditions but they have not replied from that time. So I can’t comment further in the issue,” Ayiekoh told ChimpSport.

Onduparaka registered a barren draw in their opening game with coach Haruna Mawa forced on the caretaker role. The team had no qualified coach on bench against Bright stars.
