Uganda Cranes skipper Geoffrey Massa has applauded the character and great attitude that the players have had in this campaign.
Massa believes the cohesion and team chemistry helped them deliver the dream of returning Uganda to African Cup of Nations after 38 years of waiting.

“I thank the coach also because he has encouraged us always, his character is superb too and he is close to the squad,” he added.
Uganda cranes returned to Africa’s biggest football tournament for the first time since 1978 after seeing off Comoros on Sunday at Mandela national stadium, Namboole.
Farouk Miya’s 35th minute strike was enough to help Uganda finish 2nd in group D on 13 points and break the 38 year jinx of failing to qualify for African cup of Nations.
