Buddu and Ssingo edged closer to the 2017 Masaza Cup final taking advantage in the first leg of the semifinal.
Defending champions Buddu showed the intent of returning to the finals this year with an emphatic display away to Gomba.
Despite the game ending prematurely following crowd violence, Buddu had already set themselves up.
Mikidad Ssenyonga scored the lone goal against his former masters Gomba in the repeat of last year’s final played at Kabulasoke PTC playground.
The game however prematurely ended in the 83rd minute after the home fans stormed pitch and beat up centre referee Joseph Ochom.
They were protesting the build up to the Buddu goal claiming there was an infringement on the goalkeeper.
The organizing committee will sit on Wednesday to make a ruling over the matter.
In the other semifinal, Singo earned a hard fought 1-0 win away to Busiro in the game played in Ssentema.
Isaac Otto’s first half strike eventually turned out to be the deciding moment in a thrilling game.
Ssingo will now host Busiro in the return leg at Ssaza ground, Mityana on Sunday.
Buddu will also play at home (Masaka Recreation Ground)to Gomba on Sunday.
The winners on aggregate will face off in the final slated for 26th August at Mandela National stadium.
