Solomon Walusimbi has been named the Maroons FC most valuable player for the first round.
The youngster walked home with the gong after a colorful end of year awards gala held at club Vibes in Luzira.
The 19-year old has featured in nine games for the prison warders this season scoring five goals and four assists.

Eddy Kapampa was named the most promising upcoming player of the first round while Patrick Kaddu bagged the automatic top scorer’s gong for his seven goals this season.

Maroons entered the mid-season break comfortably leading the Elgon group with 25 points and a similar show will ensure direct qualification spot at the end of the season.
