Mapinduzi 2017: Simba Draw Leaves URA Chances in Balance

URA are Mapindunzi cup defending Champions

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC’s chances of retaining the Mapinduzi cup were dented further after playing to a barren draw against Tanzania giants Simba SC on Thursday afternoon at the Amaan stadium.

The defending champions won the first game against KVC before falling to Jangombe Boys in the second.

Coach Kisala made only two changes to his losing squad slotting in Jimmy Lule and Ronald Kigongo for Nicholas Kagaba and Robert Mukhongotya.

The other game of the day saw Jangombe boys trounce KVZ FC 3-1 to rise to the second spot in group A.

The Ugandan tax collectors have accumulated four points from three games and have to overcome Jangombe Boys in the last match to secure a semifinal spot.

Simba SC lead the table with seven points while KVZ FC are already out after losing all their games.
