Asked if they had already signed a contract with some potential companies to handle their waste, Grant said the process is in high gears though he could not disclose the details.

Jennifer Bangirana, Country Manager, Enviroserv revealed that the 52% venture holding deal in favor of Enviroserv, Uganda against 48% for the Green Albertine will see an investment of $20million in the first phase of the project.

“We shall employ 40 people, both skilled and unskilled, for our full operation” Bangirana noted, adding that, “Priority will be given to the locals in the area by involving local council authority in the area to identify those interested and able to do the work.”

In a reference document from National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), EnviroServe Uganda Limited is one besides four other companies including, Strategic Logistics limited, White Nile Consults Limited and McAlister Energy Resources Limited licensed to construct and operate waste management facilities to handle oil drilling waste as Uganda moves towards production.

“In a special way, we want to thank the Commander of Defense Forces, Gen Katumba Wamala who offered us a Chopper from Lacor hospital to Entebbe as the only means of transport that would be effective given the state of his sickness at such a moment,” Okech added.

He told journalists at DP headquarters that Mao is extremely responding well to medication and rubbished all the false rumors that the party president had passed on, promising that his brother would be hopefully discharged this week.

Okech added that  Mao is under the care of Ugandan doctors who have advised that he gets enough time to rest before he could begin his routine business.

“I want to communicate to all sympathizers that no one should waste any money traveling to Nairobi to pay Mao a visit because doctors will not allow any person to access him since they recommend that he should have enough rest.”

He added that after Mao being discharged, he will still remain in Nairobi for more rest and that’s where the public including media will have a chance to interact with him.
