Makindye Man Shoots Girlfriend Dead

A man identified as Sulaiman Musoke has Thursday afternoon shot his girlfriend dead from Makindye.

According to Emilian Kayima, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the incident occurred today “afternoon at around 3:15pm.”

“This afternoon a man called Sulaiman Musoke in his 40s shot and killed a young lady in her late 20s called Biragwa Nabona who is his girlfriend,” Kayima said in a recording.

The gruesome event, according to the police mouthpiece happened in Muwama Zone in Makindye Division.

Kayima further revealed that the lovers had developed a “misunderstanding” after which they decided to visit the deceased’s sister a one Zahara Nakanwagi.

“The couple allegedly got a misunderstanding and they chose to go to the sister of the deceased who is called Zahara Nakanwagi,” Kayima narrated in a recorded broadcast.

“And while they sat in the house talking to each other, it is alleged that Sulaiman Musoke, the murderer, pulled out a gun … a pistol … shot the dead (Biragwa Nabona) and he fled the scene,” he added.

Police was notified and “we swung into the action but we found him gone.”

The police have thus “notified all our officers across the borders to seal them including Entebbe.”

People who know the killer told the cops that he has been in Egypt and he could be part of the “Nkuba Kyeyo” group.

Kayima affirmed that they will ensure all measures are taken so that Musoke accounts for his grim act.

“We are sure we shall get him and we shall hold him to account for the crime he has committed. It is thought he been holding this gun for some time and we will have to account for his actions,” he relayed.

“Soon we are going to circulate his photographs on media. Please notify us so that we can arrest him and ask him to account for his criminal actions.”
