Makerere Students  Arrested Over Besigye Demo

The police in Kampala have arrested 3 Makerere University students for protesting at the Constitutional Square demanding for the release of former FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye.

The group led by one Robinson Wabulembo took to the constitutional square clad in red Makerere University gowns and shouted ‘We want change; Release Besigye the elected President   of Uganda.” The anti riot police was at hand to take the trio into custody.


There was a scuffle as the police officers battled the students who physically tried to resist the arrest. However more officers reinforced the team and the group of students were finally apprehended and taken to the Central Police Station.

His demand for an audit into the elections fell on deaf ears.
