The Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, here http://concasol.org/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader-skin.php Prof. Ddumba Ssentamu has released a full schedule of how events will run for the remaining part of the first semester.
The semester which will open on Monday, buy more about January 2nd 2017 for students, will run up to Sunday February 19th.
Makerere was opened on Saturday, December 24th 2016 following a directive by President Yoweri Museveni, who is the visitor to all public universities in Uganda.
University council chairperson Dr. Charles Wana Etyem would later announce the opening of the university adding that the staff would resume duty effective immediately.
In a statement dated December 28th, Prof. Ddumba notes that; “all students should report on Monday 2nd January to complete the first semester. Lectures will resume immediately and end on Sunday 29th January 2016.”
“Examinations will start on Monday 30th January and end on Sunday, February 29th 2017.”
2nd January 2017 – Students report for continuation of the semester
16th January 2017 – Fees payment deadline
30th Jan to 19th Feb – End of Semester Examinations
20th Feb to 26th – Students take a one week residential Break
21st Feb to 24th Feb – 67th Graduation
27th February 2017 – Second semester resumes
