Makerere University staff have Monday morning resolved to call off their strike.
The suspension of the strike was part of the preconditions placed by President Yoweri Museveni to have the university reopened for business.
Museveni indefinitely closed Makerere University on November 1st this year following the staff strike over their unpaid allowances.
The staff members under their association MUASA this morning during an emergency assembly resolved to call off their strike.
These put the matter to a vote where 81 voted in favor of the end of the industrial action. 56 voted in opposition.
