High Court has pushed the hearing of the bail application filed by four suspects in the murder case of Maj. Mohammed Kiggundu one month ahead.
Although the accused persons together with their sureties were prepared for the bail hearing as fixed by court yesterday, discount http://clothesthatwork.org/wp-admin/includes/revision.php the senior state attorney Barbara Masinde informed court that they were not ready and asked to be granted a one month’s period.

This was however opposed by the lead defense counsel Friday Roberts Kagoro saying that it would be grave injustice on the part of his client.
Justice Kwesiga nonetheless granted the months’ time to state to finalize investigations, but cautioned the Prosecution to speed up their work, minding the accused persons’ rights to a free and fair trial.
The Four accused persons include the former Acting Tabliq Muslim Amir, Sheikh Yahya Mwanje, 2 bodaboda riders from Kyengera Muhammad Buyondo and Abdul -Wahab Ssendegeya; and Muhammad Ssekandi, a businessman from Masanafu. All these are yet to be committed to high court where their matter ought to be heard.
Prosecution contends that on November 26, 2016 at Masanafu trading centre, the four murdered Maj Kiggundu and his bodyguard Sgt Stephen Mukasa by shooting.
