Magogo Blasts Gov’t Over She Cranes Carwash Fundraising Drive

Fufa president, order link Eng. Moses Magogo has come out with a blazing assault on government and the minds behind Uganda National Netball, help the She Cranes’ ‘Carwash fundraising drive’.

“We cannot sink lower. National Netball Team going to the World Cup and players washing Cars to get preparation money! In my view we rather not present the team to the World Cup than humiliate ourselves to this level. Both Government and whoever came up with this idea should think again, buy ” a furious Magogo ranted on one of his social media sites.

The president wonders why the sportsmen in the country are undermined even when they sacrifice for the nation.

“Why is it Sports and particularly national teams and athletes that are representing our dear motherland always marginalized in resource allocation when mere individuals are treated in Billions on Tax payer money? Hundreds of Billions of the taxpayers’ money is stolen by individual’s every day.”

Magogo further requested president Museveni to intervene: “Enough is Enough HE The President as the CEO of this country, please intervene.”

The She Cranes have been going through a very difficult financial problem that has seen them miss the African championships in Botswana and are at the verge of being left out of the World Cup later in Australia.

The team was seen ‘begging’ money during the Cranes vs Botswana game in front of the minister of education Jesca Alupo and other key government figures.
