The decision was however opposed by Byamugisha and his supporters who argued that the FDC constitution allows the office bearer to choose a person whom is capable of handling party business up when he is back in office.

Speaking to our reporter this morning, Byamugisha revealed in a bid to avoid frustration of the party activities, he had decided to conduct his work in his car.

“A lot of members have been coming here looking for support and guidance on the nomination exercise,” he said.

“I had no choice but to use my car to assist them. The party’s work has to keep running without interruption.”

When contacted, the District party chairperson Lydia Turyahumura told us she was currently out of the district but insisted that all party officials still access to the offices.

The leader of South Sudan rebel movement Dr. Riek Machar has said the creation of 28 states in his country is the violation of peace accord signed in August this year.

“The Presidential Decree issued unilaterally today, October 2nd 2015, by President Salva Kiir Mayardit creating 28 states in the Republic of South Sudan is a clear violation of Peace Agreement on the resolution of conflict signed on 17th and 26th August 2015 by myself and President Kiir respectively. The peace agreement is based on the 10 states,” part of the statement says.

The same statement reached out to the peace mediator IGAD and the International Community to take a stance on the development.

“In the light of this action of President Kiir, we call upon the IGAD Plus and the International Community to take a position.” Another part reads.

The 28 states declared by president Kiir are; Imatong, Nyamonong, Maridi, Amadi, Gbudwe, Juba, Terekeka,Yei River, Greater Bhar el Ghazal, Wau, Aweil, Lol, Aweil East, Twic, Gogrial East, Tonj, Eastern Lake, Western Lake, Greater Upper Nile, Northern Liech, SouthernLiech, Ruweng, Eastern Nile, Jonglei, Western Nile,WesternBieh, Eastern Bieh, Latjor and Boma.
