The lord Mayor of Kampala Elias Lukwago has Monday come out to caution the Minister for Kampala Hon Beti Kamya to “mind her boundaries” in the course of executing her duties as minister.
The lord mayor said today that Kamya is trying to be KCCA’s political head and at the same time the face of Kampala which is the role of the Lord Mayor.
“We have been patient with Hon Kamya for a long time thinking that there will be change, order http://chios.ro/wp-includes/ms-default-filters.php ” said Lukwago. “Little did we know that she’s been busy politicizing and hijacking the institution of the Kampala Capital City Authority”
While addressing the media at City House, nurse http://cfbtoman.com/wp-includes/class-wp-network-query.php the Lord Mayor said he will not allow Kamya to govern KCCA by decree and that her roles are purely to supervise and participate in decision making of the City not to create chaos.
“As the Lord Mayor of the city I feel like enough is enough and action must be taken and our very first step has been done because we have called her to order. If she does not comply further steps will be carried out”
Early in 2016 (December) Hon Kamya gave a directive to taxi operators to conduct elections by March 2017 apparently without insights of the law and also went ahead to issue the same directive to markets like St Balikudembe.
