The annual Lugazi Open pool championship has been scheduled for the first week of January 2017 at the Sunrise Bar, ampoule http://csautomation.net/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/i18n/states/ir.php one of the tournament organizers Mr. Peter Kyobe reveals.
The one day tournament will take place on Saturday January 7th with both ladies and men competitions’ taking place concurrently.
“This will be one of a kind upcountry pool championship organized locally but with an international feel, information pills ” Kyobe said. “The tournament will take only one day beginning 9AM.”
Participants in both categories will pay twenty thousand shillings for registration which is based on a ‘first come, first serve basis.’
“We are targeting only 160 players; 128 men and 32 ladies to register before 3rd January however, we shall close the process if we attain that number before that deadline.”
The tournament’s top 8 seeds and top 4 men will register for free. This category comprises last year men’s quarter finalists and the top four ladies. Some of the seeded players include Simon Lubulwa, Henry Mwangi and Dezzo Sewajje who finished in the best three spots.
The others are Abubaker Nakabaale, Steven Kyalo, Navy Matovu, Joseph Tumusiime and Mansoor Bwanika. Vicky Namuyanja, Zaimati Nabafu, Rita Nimisiima and Vivian Kagoya are the top four seeded ladies.
The overall winner in the men’s competition will sweep away a cool two million shillings while the losing finalist gets half. The second and third runners walk home with half and quarter a million respectively. 5th to 8th will each get 75,000 and a branded T-shirt.
The ladies have one million top prize, 500,000 for the second as third and fourth console with 250,000 and 120,000.
