Lightening Kills 2 Lumberpersons in Kangombe Forest Reserve 

A camp of enchroachers who were evicted from Kangombe forest reserve in March this year

Two people believed to be lumberpersons in Kangombe forest reserve in Kibaale District are reported dead after they were struck by lightning  in Bujogoro, case village Kabasekende sub county.

The duo identified as only Monday  and Maketo were on Thursday evening found dead in the forest where they were cutting trees.

Locals say the two were hired by a businessman Ben Businge, stomach a resident of Bujogoro village  Kabasekende Sub County for timber cutting in Kangombe forest.

Meanwhile Kabasekende police has confirmed the incident. The Kibaale police also arrived  at the scene yesterday and took the bodies to Kagadi hospital for postmortem.

Kagombe is a forest reserve in Kibaale District where the National Forestry Authority is still evicting encroachers who entered illegally for cultivation and lumbering activities .
