Rwamucucu Sub County LC3 Chairperson in Kabale District Justus Tushabomwe has been granted bail by the Kabale Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Tushabomwe was on 22nd April 2016 remanded to Ndorwa Government Prison by the Kabale grade one magistrate Raphael Vueni for defilement.
Prosecution told court that the chairman in September 2015 while at Rwamucucu sub county headquarters in Rukiga county Kabale district, case http://ciudad-deporte.com/wp-admin/includes/revision.php defiled a 17 year old girl Mercy Akandwanaho a student of Kihanga Secondary School and impregnated her.
The suspect lured the school girl into his office as she was returning from school, this http://clark-illustration.com/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-importer.php saying that he wanted her to help him deliver some letters. When she entered, adiposity he forced her into the act.
The court on hearing the accusations sent Tushabomwe on remand and was not allowed to take a plea as his case could only be heard by the Chief Magistrates Court who was on leave.
Yesterday Friday, while appearing before the Kabale Chief Magistrate Agatonica Ahimbisibwe Mbabazi, the accused pleaded guilty when the charges were read out to him.
Tushabomwe who was represented by Patrick Kiconco Katabazi then asked court to be given bail on grounds that he was of advanced age and the sole bread winner of his family.
The Magistrate Ahimbisibwe granted him non cash bail of 2millions shillings and adjourned the case till 13th may 2016 when the hearing of the case kicks off.
Tushabomwe has been the Rwamucucu sub county LC3 but in the recent concluded polls he lost the seat to Deus William Bamanya.
