Lawrence Ndugga Scores on His League Debut for Mormenekse

Ugandan striker Lawrence Ndugga earned a man of the match performance as on his debut as his new club Mormenekse won the opening game of the Cypriot top flight division.

Ndugga scored once and made two assists as Mormenekse outwitted Binatli Yilmaz 3-0 at Magusi stadium.

Ndugga opened the scores with a cool finish just after the nine minutes to give Mormenekse a deserved lead before he set up teammates in the other goals.

Ndugga joined Mormenekse in July on a two year deal from Bright stars after his initial Mormenekse Dumlupinar fell through.

At Dumlupinar, check the 22 year old striker had scored four goals in five trial matches but the club and the player’s representative failed to agree on contractual terms and the player joined Mormenekse.

In an interview with ChimpSport, information pills Ndugga revealed he was excited to have a good start.

“Of course as a player I feel happy first for putting up an incredible performance but above all helping my team win,” he said.

Ndugga had formerly featured for Simba, Kiira Young and Bright stars where he was last season before heading to Cyprus.
