KPL share by rank money: Tusker to Rake 24M, Relegated Stars 1.5M

Newly crowned KPL champions Tusker FC will bag the biggest package home in the ‘share by rank’ money set to be divided depending on a team’s final position in the table standing at the end of the league.

About KES six million (UGX 205M) was budgeted for grants to be availed to clubs according to the final ranking.

Tusker received close to UGX 153 million for winning the championship and are set to sweep a further 24 million in the share by rank grant.

Dethroned league champions Gormahia FC who are also the First runners rake in about 22.4 M about 2.6 M less than their successors.

Second and third runners up have about 21 and 19 million for their efforts as the money gradually decrease up to the last team on the log.

The two relegated clubs Ushuru FC and Nairobi city stars receive 3 and 1.5 million respectively.
