Kirinya Maul Naro, Set for Kamuli Friendly Fire

Different clubs continue to bolster their squads ahead of demanding football season coming up in less than two weeks time with every team involved in build up matches.

On Thursday, more about league newbies Kirinya Jinja SS FC spanked lower tier side Naro Ntawo FC 6-1 in a highly explosive match blinded by the results.

The lower side held the school boys 1-1 into the break forcing coach Alex Isabirye to unleash a new face in Geoffrey Mubiru just at restart. Mubiru sealed a hattrick in a space of just 15 minutes.

Former Bul FC center back Mike Kawooya, Hassan Kimera and Joel Madondo added one each for the side that had only two first team starters.

Naro found their consolation after goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa and defender Abubaker Twaha made school boy errors in the back failing to clear the ball.

“I am happy with the progress and hope the situation will be better by end of next week so we submit our final squad,” coach Isabirye told ChimpSport.

Kirinya have another friendly against Kamuli select team on Friday and close business with Simba team preparing for the Military games on Tuesday.

They start league season at home on 19th August against tax collectors Uganda Revenue Authority FC at Bugembe.
