Kigezi region local governments have been ranked the most corrupt in the country.
This is according to the National Service Delivery Survey (NSDS) results for 2015 that were released by the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics (UBOS).

Stephen Baryahirwa, the Principal Statistician from UBOS while presenting the findings said the survey that was carried out in the Kigezi sub region found that local governments in the area were the most corrupt government institution with 72percent.
He also revealed that corruption has increased by 86 percent and greed was pointed out as the number one cause.
