Uganda’s Kezironi Kizito came from the bench in the second half to open up his goal-account as AFC Leopards progressed past Bidco United in the last 16 of Kenya Gotv shield cup at Thika Municipal Stadium in Nyayo.

Keziron who recently joined AFC Leopards from SC Vipers at the start of last Month after his contract expired started from the bench for the Leopard side that played without their top 3 players in Vincent Oburu, Robinson Kamura and Victor Majid who were with a Kenyan select side in Spain.

With AFC Leopards holding a slight 1-0 lead, Kezironi was brought on to replace Harunah Nyakha at the hour-mark and his introduction later paid on with a goal.

He slotted the ball home after receiving a beautiful pass from Aziz Okaka to open up his account in the 70th minute as the Leopards doubled their lead.

Herritier Luvualu pulled one back to reduce the deficit for the visitors in added minutes but it was not enough to stop the Ingwe in a game played under a heavy down pour.

Kizito is one of the two Ugandan players in Leopards; Solid defender Musa Mudde is the other.

Leopards, who will now meet Wazito FC in the last 8, compete in the Kenyan Premier League and the Nairobi based side have won the league title on 13 occasions.
