Tuesday league match between Kirinya Jinja SS FC and defending champions KCCA FC was marred by acts of fans violence which erupted immediately after the final whistle.
A section of the fans emerged from the visitors section and were seen attacking the match officials complaining about Derrick Nsibambi’s ‘goal’ that had been cancelled at the last minute of the game.
KCCA FC have come out to condemn the ugly scenes and promised to investigate the identities of the said rowdy fans and establish if indeed the culprits are their fans.

“The club will work tirelessly to eradicate such incidents and anyone involved in the crowd trouble will be dealt with decisively.”
The champions also claim that it is the home fans who raided the pitch after the game and confronted their technical bench before Police swung into action.
“Home fans invaded the pitch and assaulted our players, officials and fans. The club restrained and protected its players officials and fans to ensure safety prevailed,” the statement adds.
The match ended one all reducing the table leaders gap with the chasing pack to just a single point.
Of recent, Express FC and Lweza FC have been fined and the former ordered to play one home match behind closed doors due to acts of violence and hooliganism.
