If there is any game that is important for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC), it is encounter against FUS Rabat in the total CAF Confederation Cup.

KCCA FC takes on FUS Rabat in the 5th group game this Sunday at Star times stadium seeking for maximum points to keep the target of advancing past the group stage.

With all the four teams in group A level on six points after 4 games, every game now matters and KCCA FC will be seeking to use the good home record.

Team manager, Mike Hillary Mutebi insists KCCA FC has the ability to go for all three points against FUS Rabat.

“It is a crucial game for us and every other team in the group. We are ready for the game and we are going for nothing but three points in this encounter,” the manager said as quoted by the club website.

“Of course it will not be a walk in the park for us. They (FUS Rabat) are a good team, they have the experience on the continent, so you cannot underrate them. But like we have played all season, we shall go out to dominate proceedings and most importantly get the three point,” Mutebi added.

After intensive training sessions over the past days since the loss to Rivers United, the manager believes mistakes have been rectified.

“We lost in Nigeria because of clumsy defending and avoidable mistakes committed but I’m contented we have tried to rectify them over the last days,” he said.

There is a timely boost for KCCA FC with several players cleared to feature in the game on Sunday.

Midfielder Saddam Ibrahim Juma who signed for KCCA FC in May has been given the  greenlight to play and is likely to make his long awaited début.

Following a mix up in interpretation of the regulations, Saddam had to sit out until the transfer window opens officially on 1st July.

Defender Peter Magambo just like Saddam Juma also was cleared this week and is part of the final squad to face FUS Rabat.

Crafty midfielder Jackson Nunda who has been sidelined for the entire season with injuries has part of training this week and could also feature on Sunday.

However, Tom Masiko who is close to joining Vipers has been eliminated from the final squad and he joins several other players who are close to leaving the club.

These include, Robert Ssentongo, Suleimon Akinyemi and Brian Majwega.

Assistant captain, Habib Kavuma  is suspended after picking a red card in the loss to Rivers United.

KCCA FC lost the first leg 3-0 to FUS Rabat away in Morocco but have not lost a game at the Star times stadium in continental engaments this season.
