Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) centreback, Timothy Dennis Awany has been invited for trials in South Africa for a full month.
The defender will undergo trials at Premier Soccer League side Ajax Cape Town ahead a potential permanent move.
This was confirmed through the club official media outlets on Monday.
“All the best to defender Timothy Awany will be on trial at Ajax Cape Town for a month starting today,” the statement reads.
Awany has been an integral figure at the heart of defence for KCCA FC for the four years he has been at the club.
His performance helped him earn a slot on the Uganda cranes team that played at the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Awany becomes the third Ugandan footballer to go to South Africa on trials after Rashid Toha, Muhammad Shaban and Jjuko Murushid.
Toga and Shaban were at Supersport United while Jjuko is still doing trials at Orlando Pirates.
