The Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, who is also the patron for Uganda International cultural Tourism Fair has Friday received the financial and event report for last year’s event.
The documents were delivered at her office by Moses Bakora of Perfect events and Esther Kakuba, a member of the National Organizing Committee in charge of finance.
The team also presented to the Speaker the current status of the gals that will occur between July 28 and 30 at the Uganda Museum.
At the fair, all cultural heritages in Uganda will be representing their cultural practices through music, dance, drama, fashion, literature, storytelling among other things.
As a way of supporting the event, the office of the Speaker has pledged to support participation of the Cultural heritages from the far west including the Batwa, Ikey and tribes from the far North and Eastern parts of Uganda.
Key thematic areas on culture and conservation of natural resources, culture and peace, culture and family, culture and finances will also be discussed.
